November Book Wrap Up

Here’s the November book wrap-up…

Books Read: 3
But Inside I’m Screaming – Elizabeth Flock
The Rehearsal – Eleanor Catton
Gem Squash Tokoloshe – Rachel Zadok

Books Abandoned: 2
Burning Bright – Tracy Chevalier
Envy – Kathryn Harrison

Books in Progress: 1
Interpreter of Maladies – Jhumpa Lahiri

Best Book: Actually the best book is the one I’m reading now, Lahiri’s Interpreter of Maladies. It’s a collection of short stories which I don’t usually go for, but the book is amazing and Lahiri’s attention to the smallest details is fantastic.

Worst Book: Other than the month’s abandoned books, I really didn’t care for The Rehearsal. I wasn’t keen on the overall style and found it really hard to figure out what was going on for the first 100 or so pages.

Book Count for the Year so Far: 50!!!

As soon as I finish “Maladies”, which will be my 51st book, I’m going to reward myself with a “thick one”… I’m going to start Vikram Seth’s A Suitable Boy, over 1,000 pages long!
