October Book Wrap Up

Books Finished: 3

  1. The Tiger’s Wife – Tea Obreht
  2. Kafka on the Shore – Haruki Murakami
  3. Afterwards – Rosamund Lupton

Books Abandoned: 0

Books in Progress: 1

  1. The Seance – John Harwood

Best Book:  Afterwards – Rosamund Lupton

As usual, Lupton fails to disappoint!  “Afterwards” is only her second novel, but it’s a page turning cracker!

Worst Book:  The Tiger’s Wife – Tea Obreht

You have no idea how much it pains me to deem Obreht’s Orange Prize Winning novel as the worst book of October, but it was.  I expected so so much out of it, being as it won the Orange Prize and created a lot of buzz.  Sadly, it fell (way) short of my expectations and I found that I had to force myself to actually finish it.
