Damn you, John Lewis, damn you.

I will do a real update on my NaNoWriMo progress later (don’t worry, I’m still well on track) but I wanted to do a post about John Lewis.  Yes, the department store.

John Lewis are famous for, of course, their stores and products and their quality (as well as their slogan, “Never Knowingly Undersold”).  John Lewis are first rate when it comes to customer service and care.  They are the first place I go to when I need a gift, item for the kitchen, or when I just want to kill time and browse for a while.  I’m a huge fan.

John Lewis are also famous for their advertisements which, often times, are like little mini-movies.  They’re usually tearjerkers too.  Last year’s Christmas advert, with the little boy who can’t wait for Christmas, not because he wants his presents but because he can’t wait to give his mum and dad theirs, got me every single time.

This year is no exception.  *Warning:  You WILL need tissues handy*

Oh.  My.  God.  I’ve watched it about six times now and cry just as hard every time.  Mittens, hat and scarf.  I cried over that?  My god, yes I did and I’m not ashamed to admit it.

So damn you, John Lewis, for making yet another emotional, sweet commercial which has sent me into a fit of hysterical tears.

I need to go… lift some weights or something.  Jeeze.
