February 2013 Book Wrap Up

Another month down, another crop of books read!  New this month?  Star ratings!  Out of five, naturally!

Feb BooksBooks Read:  8

Books Abandoned:  0

Books in Progress:  1

Whew!  Another busy month!

March is going to be just as good–there’s lots going on both on and off the blog.  I’ve got some amazing interviews lined up for March for Women’s History Month with some super fabulous ladies who I think represent strong female role models in today’s society.  There are writers, musicians and bloggers and they’re all super brilliant.  I can’t wait to share their thoughts with you.  More about WHM later.  I’ve also got a film screening on the cards for tomorrow, a couple of books headed my way for review, a writing class or two at the Southbank Centre, a theatre night with the hubby and so much more.  I’m exhausted just thinking about it all!

Here’s to a super exciting March!

  1. I read Timbuktu a few years ago. It’s definitely one of the better novels told from an animal’s point of view. But omg, I cried so much, and even though I loved the book, I don’t think I can read it again! lol — I’ve recommended it though.

Totally abandoned Ann Patchett’s Bel Canto last month. I couldn’t get into the omniscient narrator and all that head-hopping. It was beautifully written, but I hated the pov’s.

      1. Oh, I’m glad I’m not the only one! I loved State of Wonder, so I was expecting more of the same awesomeness, but…it was like there really wasn’t a central character. Also, I thought it would be about an opera singer, not a hostage situation. Haha!

      2. Seriously. If it doesn’t pass my 50-page test, then no, thank you. Unfortunately, this is a little harder to figure out on a Kindle.

Leave some love!
