Well, we’re all back safe and sound from the Wadebridge Triathlon on Sunday.
In one piece, however, not so much.
Things took a dramatic turn on Sunday as our cyclist, known as El Capitano, came off his bike and dislocated/fractured his right shoulder.
So we technically didn’t finish but that’s how life goes. We’re just happy El Capitano was relatively OK. He’s on the mend now but it’ll be a while before he’s on a bike again, that’s for sure.
On a happier note, I did hit my goal time of 34 minutes for my 5k run. Not by any means a fast time, but my fastest time and that’s all that matters.
Newquay was lovely and we did have a good time despite El Capitano’s injury. We walked on the beach, had many a pint and I had my first Cornish pasty so the trip definitely wasn’t a loss.
Here’s to… next year?
