WWW Wednesday

Happy Wednesday, folks… we’re halfway through the week.  I feel like I’m reading a little slower this week and I’m not 100% sure why.  Yesterday was our 9th wedding anniversary, so not much reading done then, I’m afraid!  Is it just me not getting through too many pages?  I’m having trouble focusing…

Anyhow, on with WWW Wednesday!  This weekly meme is hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of WordsAnyone can participate, book blogger or not!  Be sure to click on any covers you’re interested in to go through to the book’s page on Goodreads!

To join in, just answer the following three questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

What I’m currently reading…

Circe Bring Me BackI just started reading Circe a day or two ago and I’m pretty sure that I like it.  I say pretty sure because I’m having trouble concentrating on Miller’s second novel.  I’m also having trouble focusing on Bring Me Back, the ARC I’m currently reading.  I wouldn’t say I’m in a reading slump,  but just having a rougher time of it this week.

What I just finished…

Our Kind of Cruelty

Our Kind of Cruelty was really twisted and very good.  I devoured the whole novel over the course of last weekend while I lounged in my hammock in the sun in our backyard.  Ahh, how distant that gorgeous spring weather feels now as I sit here in my fleece top.  Is it ever going to get (and stay warm)???  Hall’s sexually charged noir was perfect for a long hammock session for sure.  It’s one of those books that’s really hard to put down… or forget.

What’s up next…

The Book of Essie I have so many ARCs to read that it’s almost ridiculous.  Rough problem, I know.  I just got approved for The Book of Essie which I’ve had my eye on for a few weeks now, so I’ll most likely pick that up next.  Not sure yet what my next non-ARC book will be.  Stay tuned!

Leave some love!
